The story goes that Buddha called all the animals to attend him, and the tenacious little rat was the first to arrive! So, if you are celebrating your 24th, 36th, 48th, 60th (or even 72nd!) birthday in 2008, then this is your lucky year. 2008 has also been designated as "International Year of Planet Earth", a timely reminder of our environmental responsibilities, both personally and professionally. The European Union has declared 2008 as the "Year of Intercultural Dialogue", as a way of promoting more effective communication worldwide. Lastly, the international marine charity Amphibian Ark has declared 2008 as the "Year of the Frog" - we're not sure why exactly (although they must have a good reason) - all we do know is this; IF you are going to eat more chips in 2008, please do NOT order a side of Frog's Legs to go with them - OK!?
